As all great announcers do, however he was a great one!Jonathan Heinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17683018857517222954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7896204875558410917.post-67708241938217636052011-11-04T11:17:48.365-07:002011-11-04T11:17:48.365-07:00As a lifelong Milwaukee Brewers fan, I have to sti...As a lifelong Milwaukee Brewers fan, I have to stick up for Bob Uecker. He started announcing back in 1970 and has been with the team ever since. He did World Series games with Bob Costas when NBC had the Series. He may not be nationally as well known, but for sure is my all time favorite….. Your list and mine are subjective, of course, but I can't overlook other great announcers: Jim McKay, who earned TWO Emmys and Polk Awards for his work during the 1972 Munich Olympics (one for news, one for sports). Ray Scott did simple, great work without bombast announcing NFL games on CBS. Red Barber, Mel Allen made baseball on radio come alive.

The list goes on.markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15835737791470849467noreply@blogger.com
