'Break up the Mariners' / Seattle Routs Sale and Red Sox 12-4!!

by Harry Cummins

Here are some takeaways from Seattle's unblemished 3-0 start to the 2019 MLB season:

Marco Gonzales, with one eye on his Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball team last night in the Sweet 16, went 5 1/3 innings in improving his season mark to 2-0 in besting the reigning World Series champions.

Domingo Santana, with a 2-run home run and a bases loaded double, already has a MLB leading 9 RBI's in just 3 games.

Tim Beckham is finally showing why Tampa Bay selected him as the Number 1 overall draft pick in 2008.  After going 5 for 7 in the two games in Japan, he homered in his first two at bats last night off Boston ace Chris Sale.  He is now on pace for 162 home runs this season!

Edwin Encarnacion got to "walk the parrot" for the first time as a Seattle Mariner with his home run Thursday night at the newly named T-Mobile Park.

Next Game:   Friday night.  RHP Nathan Eovaldi vs LHP Yusei Kikuchi
