|Daliah Muhammed Hurdles Her Way To Another World Record|
29 year old Olympic Champion Dalilah Muhammad of the United States held off fellow American Sydney McLaughlin to break her existing 400 meter hurdles world record Friday and capture the gold medal at the 2019 World Championships in Doha. Her time was a sizzling 52.16, breaking her previous world record of 52.20 set in July this year at the U.S. Nationals.
McLaughlin, the 20 year old U.S. prodigy, was a close second in a lifetime best 52.23. A classic showdown next year between the two best female hurdlers in the world should come at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games... and should be something to behold.
