TV ratings nationally for the NBA regular season were not that great. Viewership for ABC/ESPN games averaged 1.99 million and for TNT games 1.5 million. TNT games were down 12 percent from last year and the second lowest number of viewers since 07-08.
Teams obviously need to rest more players.
